PopRak Care Instructions
Treat your PopRak as you would treat any high-end product. Keep all mechanical components and fabrics clean and free from dirt, soils and stains. When necessary, clean with a mild cleaner and warm water. Keep clear when handling sharp objects, overly hot items and other things than can harm the fabrics.
PopRak Fabric Care Instructions: ALWAYS ensure the fabric is dry prior to closing!
- If this isn't possible, open immediately when you arrive at your home or next destination. Like any fabric, storing your PopRak when wet can lead to the formation of mold & mildew.
PopRak Fabric Cleaning Instructions:
-
Initial Cleaning:
- If mildew or mold has formed, gently brush off any spots using a soft, dry brush or toothbrush to carefully remove mold from the fabric surface.
- Avoid excessive force: Take care not to damage the tent's waterproof coating.
-
Cleaning Steps:
- Prepare a cleaning solution:
- Mix warm water with a mild detergent (non-bleach soap).
- Alternatively, mix white vinegar and water in a 1:1 ratio; vinegar is effective at killing mold.
- Wipe with a sponge or soft cloth: Apply the solution to the moldy area and gently scrub, ensuring the mold is covered.
- Rinse thoroughly: Use clean water to completely rinse the tent, removing any detergent residue.
-
Disinfecting and Deodorizing (Optional):
- Use an anti-mildew and mold spray: Purchase a dedicated anti-mildew and mold product and follow the instructions for use.
- Air dry naturally: Dry the tent in sunlight, as UV rays can further kill mildew and mold.
-
Inspection and Storage:
- Check for complete mildew or mold removal: If any mildew or mold remains, repeat the steps above or use a stronger cleaning agent.
- Store only when fully dry: Ensure the tent is completely dry before storing it in a dry, ventilated place to prevent future mildew or mold growth.
