PopRak Fabric Care  Instructions: ALWAYS ensure the fabric is dry prior to closing!

  • If this isn't possible, open immediately when you arrive at your home or next destination. Like any fabric, storing your PopRak when wet can lead to the formation of mold & mildew.

 PopRak Fabric Cleaning Instructions:

  • Initial Cleaning:

    • If mold has formed, gently brush off any mold using a soft, dry brush or toothbrush to carefully remove mold from the fabric surface.
    • Avoid excessive force: Take care not to damage the tent's waterproof coating.
  • Cleaning Steps:

    • Prepare a cleaning solution:
    • Mix warm water with a mild detergent (non-bleach soap).
    • Alternatively, mix white vinegar and water in a 1:1 ratio; vinegar is effective at killing mold.
    • Wipe with a sponge or soft cloth: Apply the solution to the moldy area and gently scrub, ensuring the mold is covered.
    • Rinse thoroughly: Use clean water to completely rinse the tent, removing any detergent residue.
  • Disinfecting and Deodorizing (Optional):

    • Use an anti-mold spray: Purchase a dedicated anti-mold product and follow the instructions for use.
    • Air dry naturally: Dry the tent in sunlight, as UV rays can further kill mold.
  • Inspection and Storage:

    • Check for complete mold removal: If mold remains, repeat the steps above or use a stronger cleaning agent.
    • Store only when fully dry: Ensure the tent is completely dry before storing it in a dry, ventilated place to prevent future mold growth.
